These terms are the agreement between you and Lucas Lefort EI, a sole proprietorship (entrepreneur individuel) registered in France, 108 rue de Gand, 59200 Tourcoing, France, SIRET 949 815 138 00019, [email protected] ("we"), the publisher of Hoarding Master, on the web at hoarding-master.com and in the iPhone app. By creating an account you accept them. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.

1. Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old. In France, if you are under 15, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms with you. You sign in with a social account (for example Google or Apple) and you are responsible for what happens on your account.

2. Your photos

Hoarding Master is about real objects that you photograph yourself. Each photo you send must:

  • show a real object, photographed by you, with the camera;
  • show no human face. Hands and bodies without a face are fine;
  • contain no nudity, violence, or other unsafe or illegal content;
  • not be a photo of a screen or of a printout.

Every photo is checked automatically, and people on our team review the photos that are flagged. A photo that breaks these rules is rejected and deleted. A photo that may show sexual content involving a minor is locked away at once and reported to the authorities.

Your rights: you keep the rights to your photos. You allow us, for free and worldwide, to store them, have them analysed by our AI provider, and show them as part of your cards to every player, in the discovery feed, on the sign-in page and in images shared from the game, for as long as the card exists. This permission ends when the photo is deleted, in particular when you delete your account.

What the game writes: the card's name, description, stats and other text are generated by AI and by the game's rules. They are part of the game, and we hold the rights to them. A card is a game item: owning it gives you the right to use it in the game, not ownership of any intellectual property.

3. Credits, tokens and purchases

  • Credits are the game's currency. You earn them by playing (quests, the daily chest, levels, streaks, selling cards) and you can buy packs of them when packs are on sale.
  • Credits have no cash value. They can never be exchanged back for money, withdrawn or transferred outside the game. They do not expire.
  • Purchases are made through Stripe on the web or through Apple's In-App Purchase in the iPhone app, under their terms. The price is shown, taxes included, before you pay.
  • Right of withdrawal: credits are digital content delivered as soon as the payment goes through. Before you pay, you expressly ask for immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery has started (French Consumer Code, article L221-28 13°).
  • Refunds: purchases made in the iPhone app are refunded by Apple, under its own rules: ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. For a payment on the web, write to us if a pack was charged but not delivered, or charged twice: we refund it or deliver it.
  • Every price in credits shows its real-money equivalent.
  • Instant photo tokens (one free per day, unused ones do not stack) and experience points cannot be bought.

4. Boosters, chests and odds

  • Boosters are earned, never sold: not for money, not for credits. They come from quests and from chests.
  • A booster holds 5 prints of existing cards photographed by other players. The odds of each print's rarity are published: Basic 55%, Uncommon 27%, Rare 12%, Super Rare 5%, Legendary 1%. Never more than 3 boosters in a row without a Rare or better.
  • The daily chest is free; what it can hold, and the odds, are shown in the game.
  • If we change the odds, the game shows the new ones before they apply.

5. Trades and auctions

Trades and auctions take place between players. We run the rules; we are not a party to the exchange.

  • New accounts can trade and sell at auction after their first 7 days.
  • Trades: what you offer is locked until the trade is accepted, declined or expires (after 48 hours). The other player can answer with a counter-offer.
  • Auctions: you set a starting price and a duration (1, 3 or 7 days). Bids are held until someone bids higher. A bid in the last 5 minutes extends the auction by 5 minutes. An auction cannot be cancelled after its first bid. A fee of 5% of the sale price, in credits, is taken from the seller and destroyed.
  • A finished trade or auction is final: we do not reverse it, except to correct a bug or cheating.
  • Selling cards, credits or accounts for real money outside the game is not allowed.

6. Fair play and bans

Cheating is not allowed: photographing a screen or a printout, modifying the app, or any other way of getting around the game's rules. A player who cheats is banned: they can no longer sign in, and the cards they still hold are deleted. Cards they already traded or sold stay with their new owners. A ban is decided by a person on our team; you can contest it by writing to [email protected].

Harassing other players, or using a username or picture that is offensive or impersonates someone, can also lead to a ban.

7. Community rules, reports and blocking

Everything players show to each other (photos, card names, usernames, display names and profile pictures) must follow the photo rules of section 2. In particular, it is not allowed to post or show:

  • sexual content or nudity, violence or gore;
  • hate, harassment, threats or insults aimed at a person or a group;
  • someone else's face, or personal information (an address, a phone number, a licence plate, a document);
  • spam, scams, or advertising;
  • anything illegal, or that impersonates someone.

Reporting: every card and every player has a Report button. Choose a reason, add a note if you like, and send. The card disappears from your view at once. The reported player is not told who reported them. If you are not signed in, write to [email protected] with the card's link.

What we do with a report: a person on our team looks at it; we aim to review every report within 24 hours. If content breaks these rules, we hide the photo, rename the card, reset the username or picture, or ban the account (section 6), depending on how serious it is. When several players report the same card, its photo is hidden for everyone until we have looked at it. A report made in bad faith, or to harass someone, can itself lead to a ban.

Blocking: you can block any player from their profile. You then no longer see each other's cards, profiles, discoveries or auctions, and you can no longer trade or claim each other's gifts. Open trades between you are cancelled. Leagues, leaderboards and the hall of fame still show your names. You can unblock someone in Settings, Blocked players.

If we hide or remove something of yours, or restrict your account, you can ask us why and contest the decision by writing to [email protected].

8. Ending your account

  • You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, Delete my account), once your open trades, auctions and winning bids are settled. Your photos are deleted; your cards stay in the game under an anonymous "Former player". Credits left in your wallet are lost and are not refunded.
  • We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, as described in sections 6 and 7.

9. The service

The game is in active development: rules, balance, prices and features change, and the service can be interrupted. We tell you in the app before a significant change to these terms takes effect.

We do our best to keep the game available and to fix what goes wrong, but we cannot promise it will always run without interruption or error. We are not liable for harm caused by your own breach of these terms, by another player, or by events beyond our reasonable control, such as the failure of a network or a provider we do not run.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any right that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived. In particular, as a consumer you keep the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (French Consumer Code, articles L224-25-12 and following).

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of that country's law.

Before going to court, write to us at [email protected]: we will try to settle it. As a consumer, you can also turn to a consumer mediator, free of charge: TO FILL: consumer mediator, required before paid features open.

Failing an amicable settlement, the French courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you can also go to the courts of the place where you live, and we can only bring a claim against you there.
